Here are a couple of in-progress images of the painting I am working on for a commission. Since my last post, I have evened out the shading, tightened the lines and added the drawn circle lines and forms.

I'm loving the way the drawing came out so far and how the painting is coming together! Now to add the contrasting vermillion red loop shapes and any final touches before the resin is poured.

While the base colors are all in, there is still plenty to do with shading and edges. Once this stage is done, there is still the drawing element and additional painting details.

This horizontal painting is 36" x 48", sometimes I turn the painting on the easel to make it easier to work on, as seen in the first picture.

A few weeks ago I completed one of the commissions I've been working on and installed it in a sleek, mid-century home here in the KC area.

Working with the couple to develop the initial sketch, this piece took me some time to get it just right. I'm so happy with how it turned out and how amazing it looks in it's new home!
