Here is a great blog post about the intertwining of art & life, by Nicholas Wilton
http://www.nicholaswilton.com/2013/10/24/trust/ ![]() Here are a couple of in-progress images of the painting I am working on for a commission. Since my last post, I have evened out the shading, tightened the lines and added the drawn circle lines and forms. I'm loving the way the drawing came out so far and how the painting is coming together! Now to add the contrasting vermillion red loop shapes and any final touches before the resin is poured. ![]() Working towards my show at Leedy-Volkous and so far this week has been productive in the studio. Pictured here are two works near completion. The top is 36" x 48" for the show. The left and bottom images show the progress of a commission. The green orb is somewhere between the two photos; neither too yellow or bluish. Today, I'm prepping & priming a 46" x 60" panel - the largest single panel I've worked on so far! ![]() I've been focused on making work for my upcoming show in February at Leedy-Volkous Art Center. Several paintings are still in progress while others just need some tweaking before drawing elements are added. In this grouping is also a commission I'm working on and plan to finish this month as well. ![]() I've been working in the studio and have several works in progress. Here are some images from one of the pieces showing progression in the very early stages of the painting as I block in color and forms. While I'm working from a sketch for this piece, I am adjusting some details and elements which I hope will make it a more dynamic painting. More to come....
